MADabolic Expands Charlotte Footprint with Fourth Location: MADabolic SouthPark

Posted on February 24, 2026 in #MadLifestyle, Franchise, Spotlight

Charlotte, NC — MADabolic is expanding its Charlotte presence with the announcement of MADabolic SouthPark, the fourth location under the MADabolic Charlotte portfolio. The new strength and conditioning studio will open this summer at 1515 Mockingbird Lane in Charlotte, bringing structured, strength-driven training to the heart of the Queen City’s SouthPark neighborhood.

Located just minutes from SouthPark Mall and Phillips Place, MADabolic SouthPark will serve members throughout South Charlotte and the Park Road corridor who are looking for a gym built on structure, sustainability, and athletic-driven strength and conditioning.

The expansion continues the deliberate growth strategy led by local franchise owners Landon and Finley Funsten, who have been embedded in the brand and the flagship Charlotte location for over a decade. After joining the Charlotte portfolio as partners in 2020, they assumed full ownership in 2022 and have continued to scale the market with intention since.

With established locations in South End, Elizabeth, and NoDa, SouthPark is a natural next step, extending MADabolic’s footprint deeper into South Charlotte.

“This expansion represents years of disciplined execution and belief in the model,” shared Landon. “We’ve grown this portfolio the same way our members train—focused on the fundamentals and committed to long-term results.”

MADabolic’s programming prioritizes progressive strength training, structured intervals, and sustainable progression. The system is designed for long-term performance, serving former athletes, professionals, and high-performers who view strength as the foundation for longevity.

“MADabolic continues to position itself as a leader in the Charlotte fitness scene because Landon and Finley are disciplined operators,” said Brandon Cullen, Co-Founder and Chief Concept Officer of MADabolic. “This expansion signals the longevity of the MADabolic legacy. When a market continues to grow thoughtfully like this, it’s proof the model works, and it’s built to last.”

Additional announcements regarding founding memberships, pre-sale opportunities, and grand opening events will be released in the coming weeks.
