Aaron Soupiset is a member at MADabolic in Wichita and November’s Member of the Month spotlight! Aaron is coming up on his one year anniversary with MADabolic ICT East, thanks to his wife who brought him along for a class.

Aaron has always lived an active lifestyle — he grew up on a family farm and cattle ranch in Southwest Kansas where he worked every single day (snow days didn’t mean a day off either). He played football, basketball, baseball and track & field through high school and enjoyed physical activities like snowboarding, skiing and motocross. After being in the military for several years, he didn’t get into training again until he joined MADabolic. Aaron is a prime example of an everyday athlete. Check out his Q&A below!

Q: How long have you been a member at MADabolic?

A: Next month will be one year

Madabolic

Q: What drew you in to take your first class?

A:  My wife, 100%. She started at MAD a couple weeks before I did. She was going to OTF and felt she wasn’t getting out

of it what she used to. When she told me the classes at MAD were less than 40 minutes, not including warm ups, I knew I had to try it. I can suffer through anything for 40 minutes.

Q: What is your favorite thing about MADabolic?

A:  The people that come, the training crew, and the owners. It’s a very welcoming and motivating environment. I’ve made several friends in the time I’ve been going.

Q: What interval is your favorite (M.A.D) and why?

A:  Durability for sure. Love the grind.

Q: And we have to ask — what is your least favorite movement? The one you love to hate of course.

A:  The stupid bikes… haha.

Q: What’s your favorite way to stay active on your off days?

A:  Generally, I only take one or two days off a week. I need rest on those days. I’m usually pretty sore by then.

Q: What’s one fun fact about you that not many people know?

A:  I absolutely love the ocean and all things water related. While serving in the Navy, I loved being at sea for weeks on end. Boating, water sports, fishing, snorkeling, and having a cold beverage on a sandy beach.

Q: What advice would you give someone who is hesitant to take their first class at MADabolic?

A:  Just do it! The reward far outweighs the short term pain. I love it!
