In November, Kirsten Lorenger opened the doors to MADabolic Charlottesville. Over the last few months, Kirsten has loved seeing members’ strength gains, and she has been thrilled by the support the Charlottesville community has shown her new business. With a growing client base, Kirsten is expanding the studio’s training staff this spring, and she continues to build community partnerships in her area.

Kirsten grew up playing volleyball, lacrosse, tennis, and running cross-country. She has long-loved MADabolic’s signature strength-driven approach. “I fell in love with MADabolic’s programming almost a decade ago, both for its purposeful approach and for how it can uniquely bring together individuals from various fitness backgrounds,” shared Kirsten. “It’s been a dream come true to see the studio come to fruition.”

While the clients at MADabolic Charlottesville are excited about the strength gains and physical benefits MADabolic has offered, there’s a good vibe building in-studio, too. Kirsten shared that MADabolic has filled a void in the Charlottesville fitness scene, and a sense of camaraderie has started to form within the space.

Kirsten acts as owner-operator at MADabolic Charlottesville, teaching about 10 classes per week and managing studio operations. She’s also a mom of three. “There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes of running a business, but the structure of owning a MADabolic location fits my lifestyle,” she shared. While she juggles many responsibilities, the afternoon gap in her class schedule allows her to pick up her kids from the bus after school each day.

“Going the franchise route has been a great fit for me,” added Kirsten. “The resources MADabolic provides are streamlined, clear, and succinct, from how to build out our studio to how to run each day’s workout. I wouldn’t have the capacity to do this all on my own. I also love that the MADabolic team has the right people in place. Whether I need an idea to drive traffic, have questions about programming, or need help troubleshooting one of our tech platforms, I have someone I know I can reach out to for support.”

MADabolic provides a sustainable approach to strength-biased training, helping everyday people age athletically. Our unique training system is crafted entirely around work-to-rest ratios, which presents a challenging-yet-accessible environment unique to each client.

At MADabolic, everything we do boils down to strength, structure, and accountability. We offer a results-driven training program, robust operating systems, and a team of experts behind the brand.

The Charlottesville opening kicked off a busy few months for MADabolic. Since then, MADabolic has awarded 18 new franchises in St. Petersburg, FL; McAllen, TX; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ; and in Oregon. MADabolic has also opened studio locations in Alexandria, VA; Dupont Circle (Washington, D.C.), Stamford, CT; Nashville, TN; Southlake, TX; and Scotts Valley, CA. The brand continues to expand in key markets across the country and will see several additional openings this spring, including Brooklyn, NY.
