The New MAD App Is Here

10.12.26

Something big just hit the floor.

We're in the middle of one of the coolest rollouts in MADabolic history, and it fits right in your pocket. The new MAD app is rolling out to every MADabolic studio, and it's one of the biggest things we've ever built for our members. It was built from the ground up around the way you actually train.

Picture this. You finish a brutal Durability block, finally move up on the weight you've been chasing for weeks, and before you've even caught your breath, it's logged. Charted. Saved. Your progress, your crew, and every class you've ever taken, all in one place.

And here's one of our favorite parts: one of you built it. David Wolfand spent 25 years avoiding exercise entirely before he walked into a MADabolic studio in 2023. He also happens to have a tech background and a couple of startups under his belt. So when something bugged him, he did what tech people do. He built the thing he wished existed.

Here's what's waiting for you.

Your home screen actually knows you

Open the app and your next class is sitting right at the top. Below that you'll see your current streak, how many classes you've hit this week, your total class count, and your plate. Your upcoming bookings are right underneath, including where you are on any waitlist. You can book or check in straight from here.

On a rest day, it'll even remind you that recovery is part of the method. We didn't make that up for the app. It's just true.

Book any class, at any studio, in seconds

Every class at all 45 MADabolic studios now lives in one place. Traveling for work? Visiting family? Pick the studio, pick the class, done.

You'll see live spots left before you book, so no more guessing whether the 5:30 is packed. If it's full, hop on the waitlist and see exactly where you stand. And if you're a planner, you can book your whole week in one pass. Sunday night scheduling just got a lot shorter.

Your progress has receipts now

This is the big one.

Every weight you log gets saved and charted over time. Your PRs live in one place. Your class count, your week streak, and your classes this year are all front and center.

Then there's plate progression. White, Teal, Mixed, Grey, Black. The app shows you where you are on that path and how close you are from the next plate. If you've ever stood in class wondering "how close am I?", now you'll know.

Think about what that means three months from now. You'll be able to look back and see exactly how far you've come. Not a vibe. Actual numbers.

Meet The Floor

You already know the people in your class. You nod at them at 6am, you suffer through grueling Triple OT workouts together, and you've probably high fived them a hundred times. Now you can actually get to know them.

The Floor is the social side of the app. When someone in your crew hits a PR or moves up a plate, it shows up in your feed and you can send them a high five. People You May Know is ranked by how many classes you've shared, so the people you've been sweating next to for months show up first. You'll even get a heads up when your crew is booked into a class, which is the kind of peer pressure we fully support.

Tap into someone's profile and, if they've chosen to share it, you'll see a little more of who they are: a short bio, their hobbies, even their Instagram handle. That person who crushed it next to you at 6am finally has a name, a story, and maybe a shared love of trail running or terrible (or awesome) puns. You decide what goes on your profile, so share as much or as little as you want.

That's the whole point. The workout gets us in the room. The people are what keep us coming back. The Floor is built to make this community even stronger.

And if you like a little friendly competition, there's a studio leaderboard and challenges waiting for you too.

Every class, all the way back to your first

Your full class history is in there. Every class you've taken, back to day one, with the date, time, studio, and coach.

You'll also see how your training splits across our four class types: Anaerobic, Durability, Momentum, and Deload. It's a cool way to see the method working in your own training. (It's also a gentle reminder for anyone who keeps "accidentally" skipping Deload. You know who you are.)

So when do I get it?

We're rolling the app out in waves, studio by studio, over the next week. When it's your studio's turn, you'll get notified with everything you need to download it. If yours hasn't shown up yet, hang tight. It's coming fast.

Once you're in, here's what we'd do first:

  • Log a weight in your next class and watch it hit your chart
  • Check your plate progression and see how close you are to the next one
  • Follow a few people from your usual class
  • Book next week before Sunday night sneaks up on you

If you are reading this after 10/16/2026, it is live in your location.

Found something weird? Tell us.

This is a brand new app and we want it to be great. If something breaks or feels off, report it right from inside the app. It gets fixed, not filed.

This is just the start

We already have more in the works, and we'll share it when it's ready. For now, go download it, poke around, and log your progress.

You've been putting in the work for a long time. Now you finally get to see it.

See you on the floor.
