Studio Spotlight: MADabolic La Cantera

Posted on January 5, 2022 in Spotlight

In September, Dimple Patel opened MADabolic’s first studio location in San Antonio, Texas. After the journey to the grand opening, Dimple and her team have now been in business for a few months. With much to celebrate, Dimple’s work won’t stop here – already, she has signed an agreement to bring three additional locations to market in San Antonio.

“We went from a late-night equipment setup party with our team and some of our founding members to opening our doors and seeing our dreams and hard work come to life,” shared Dimple. “We’ve gotten really positive feedback from clients so far, and it’s been great to see the mindset shift start to happen in our members as they’ve been with us for a few months. MADabolic doesn’t just deliver a workout; it offers a lifestyle approach that accounts for nutrition, relies on intentional training schedules that include rest, and allows other active hobbies to fit nicely into a consistent training routine. Our clients, myself included, have seen improvement in terms of strength and body composition already, and it drives the culture of our gym.”

Boutique fitness is relatively new to San Antonio, and MADabolic’s approach certainly shakes things up. “MADabolic trains various energy systems, which is new to this market. The brand’s training standards have helped us develop coaching staff that is truly elite in our market, and one of my favorite things is seeing clients have big ‘aha’ moments when our trainers help them improve their form, and they feel less pain or find that they can lift more weight,” shared Dimple.

Dimple and her team have appreciated the quality and intentionality that drive the MADabolic brand. “From the equipment selection, to how we set up the floor, to the movements in each day’s programming, everything is intentional,” explained Dimple. “It’s a breath of fresh air to see the consistency and structure that overarch the training protocol, and our clients see and appreciate that, too. We have many clients involved in other activities, like running, who have found so much value in adding strength training to their routine. They are getting stronger and more resistant to injury each time they step onto our gym floor.”

“I loved MADabolic from the first class I took, and I also knew that if I was going to open a business, it needed to be a franchise,” shared Dimple on her decision to bring MADabolic to San Antonio. “Without a system behind you, small business owners often find themselves working around the clock every day of the year. MADabolic has structure and systems in place that have allowed me to hire a team who can manage the bulk of the day-to-day, and I can take more of a back seat, so I’m not compromising on time with my family. The opening process was made easier because many of the vendors were already in place, there was a detailed list of the equipment I needed to order, and I didn’t have to worry about developing a brand look or logo from scratch. And that there are all these systems in place, being part of a franchise system allows us to scale more quickly than we could have considered otherwise.”

Dimple will continue to build out MADabolic’s presence in San Antonio over the next few years, with three additional locations to come. MADabolic’s unique training system is crafted entirely around work-to-rest ratios, which presents a challenging-yet-accessible environment unique to each client. The concept’s programming offers clients a training system that delivers a progressive and comprehensive approach to strength-driven interval training and aging athletically.

In addition to a world-class strength-focused training program, MADabolic is known for providing an excellent franchise partnership opportunity. The concept’s approach to franchising blends proven systems, robust training, and extensive resources for owners with a unique-to-the-industry human element, setting franchise owners up for success.

The La Cantera opening kicked off a busy fourth quarter for MADabolic. In the last month of 2021, the brand awarded new franchises in St. Petersburg, Florida, and McAllen, Texas, and opened new studio locations in Charlottesville, VA; Alexandria, VA; and Dupont Circle (Washington, D.C.). With five additional openings expected to come over the month of January, 2022 looks to be another big year for the brand, too.
