MADabolic Continues MAD Growth Streak; Inks Deal to Bring Strength-Driven Fitness Concept to Wichita, Kansas

Posted on July 9, 2020 in Franchise

WICHITA, Kansas – MADabolic, the industry’s original strength-driven interval training franchise, announces a newly signed agreement to bring its concept to Wichita. This will be the first MADabolic location to open in the Midwest.

The studio will be locally owned and operated by Kansas business magnates Monte and Yvette Ysidro. A lease has been signed to open the gym at 11120 E 26th St., Suite 700 in Wichita and is on target to open in fall of 2020.

“We’ve invested in and opened several different businesses in Wichita over the years, so we have a keen eye for identifying promising business opportunities,” said Monte. “We know a strong brand when we see one – so, MADabolic actually caught our eye a while back. Its program is distinguished from any other fitness classes out there – and its culture of edginess drew us in and solidified our choice to introduce it to Wichita.”

The Ysidros bring a wealth of local business knowledge and acumen to their MADabolic franchise. Prior to investing in MADabolic, the family started the Specs Eyewear, a leading sunglass and prescription eyewear chain. Monte is also the co-founder of Eyewear Junkie, an online eyewear store with a subscription-based business model as well as three brick-and-mortar stores. They also previously owned the popular aviation-themed Stearman Bar and Grill before selling it in 2019 as part of their long-term plan to grow their eyewear businesses and open a fitness franchise. With a keen understanding of business ownership and interest in fitness, the Ysidros look forward to introducing the MADabolic program to fitness enthusiasts in Wichita.

“MADabolic is not just a brand – it’s a culture and lifestyle that delivers results,” added Yvette. “Any time we have the opportunity to invest in a business concept that delivers results to our community, we are in.”

Founded in Charlotte, N.C. by former professional hockey players, Brandon Cullen and Kirk Dewaele, MADabolic’s distinctive concept is the first of its kind. Rather than over-emphasizing cardio, MADabolic treats strength as its base. This purposeful approach provides unparalleled results through strength-driven interval training.

“Too often in today’s fitness culture, consumers are led to believe that more is always better, when in actuality, better is better, period,” said Cullen. “With this signed agreement, we are confident that Monte and Yvette will create a passionate, enthusiastic following in Wichita.”

MADabolic’s signature interval system is crafted entirely around work-to-rest ratios, which presents a challenging-yet-accessible environment for each client. Each 50-minute class includes a detailed description of the workout, an in-depth demonstration of each movement, and a carefully structured warmup to match the specific demands of the daily workout.

MADabolic believes in the value of routine, which fosters a results-driven culture of go-getters who value structure, accountability and results.

The signed agreement in Wichita comes as MADabolic continues to strengthen its system through franchising into key markets across the United States, including Arlington, Asheville, Atlanta, Austin, California, Charlotte, D.C., Greenville, Jupiter, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Raleigh and San Francisco. The brand is actively seeking qualified franchise prospects with a genuine interest in strength and interval training, as well as a connection to their local wellness community. They should also be willing to be hands-on with their business and confident in their ability to make it stand out in their market using the tools, support and resources provided by the MADabolic corporate team.

Ideal MADabolic franchisees are driven and passionate individuals that their members can look up to as role models, ranging from former elite athletes to everyday fitness enthusiasts.
